1. Missed tackles by the Giants defense was tough to watch

In addition to poor offensive line play, we now have to get used to watching the Giants defense forget how to tackle? One of the most infuriating parts of the defeat vs. the NFC West side at Levi's Stadium was seeing the 49ers runners break free from tacklers and keep moving forward for big gains. Deebo Samuel was a YAC machine.

In total, the Giants missed 16 tackles. Micah McFadden had three of those missed tackles, but we've got to give him credit for his strong play. He was playing with a ton of passion and posted some huge stops for Wink Martindale. However, some of the effort elsewhere was disappointing. How could this defense possibly finish with 16 missed tackles?

Mental mistakes have been troubling for Big Blue this campaign, but there's no excuse for missed tackles in this kind of a fashon. Martindale needs to make this a primary focus in practice over the next week. The defense can't afford to have a repeat performance like this. Nope, not at all.
