When the New York Giants named undrafted rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito as their starter a few weeks back, many had low expectations. Fast forward to present time and DeVito has powered the Giants to three consecutive wins, including the 24-22 thriller over the Packers on Monday night.

After winning his first two games against two teams at the bottom of their division standings, the Washington Commanders and the New England Patriots, he entered his first primetime showdown against a red-hot Packers squad.

After the Packers rallied to take the lead following a fumble by running back Saquon Barkley, DeVito showed calmness and poise and marched the Giants down the field to set up Randy Bullock's game-winning field goal that helped propel the Giants to their fifth win of the season. As soon as the ball went through the posts, Brian Daboll and DeVito went wild. You've got to love seeing this:

Tommy DeVito and Brian Daboll's reaction to the Giants win was so wholesome

In what has been a very disappointing season for the Giants, Monday night's win over a Packers team that entered this game on a three-game winning streak was one that for sure lifted Giants fans' spirits up. And after Bullock nailed that field goal, the Giants young signal-caller rushing up to embrace Daboll showed us not just how happy they both were, but how proud Daboll was of his quarterback.

Nobody thought the Giants would win any of their remaining games this season with DeVito at the helm. However, the rookie is playing beyond his years and he's showing a ton of maturity. Daboll has put a lot of trust in him and DeVito is rewarding him with some fantastic play.

Seemingly out of nowhere, the Giants are one game out of the No. 7 seed in the NFC. The G-Men still have a major climb to sneak into the postseason, but we now know better than to doubt DeVito, Daboll and the rest of the guys in blue.
