This is what we've all been waiting for! On Sunday afternoon, the NY Giants are taking on the Washington Commanders and they entered the contest as big-time underdogs. Don't tell that to Saquon Barkley and Tommy DeVito.
These two are making a huge impact on the game early on, and you can say the same thing for the Big Blue defense. With Barkley and Tommy D, though, they just scored arguably the best touchdown of the NY campaign. Seriously, this was a thing of beauty:
Tommy DeVito hit Saquon Barkley for a perfect touchdown pass
What do the haters have to say about that one? DeVito put this one in a perfect spot for Barkley, with No. 26 coming down with the acrobatic catch. Seriously, this has Top 10 play written all over it, as Barkley, who has been battling an ankle injury, was somehow able to come down with that.
With DeVito, goodness, what a throw from the rookie. People have been blasting Brian Daboll for sticking with DeVito as his starting QB, but he shut up a lot of his haters with that throw to Barkley. You know what else will silence folks?
If DeVito is able to power this team to an upset win. The Giants are 2-8 on the year and fans haven't had a lot to smile about this season. However, a win over Washington, which would result in a season sweep, would be incredible. It's still early on, but DeVito and Barkley have NY supporters thinking it could be a Sunday to remember.
