This was perhaps one of the most overhauled groups in the offseason and it was a massive focus in free agency. If you want to go back even further, it started when the Giants fired Bobby Johnson as the offensive line coach and hired former Raiders offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo to replace him. Bricillo had the Raiders as the 10th best unit in the NFL in both seasons he coached them, so the hope is that he can turn the unit that surrendered 85 sacks in 2023 around.

But, that same unit is clearly not the same unit in 2024. The guard positions have been changed, as has the depth behind the starters. The Giants signed veterans Jon Runyan Jr. and Jermaine Eluemunor to potentially be the two primary guards. Although that depends on what happens with Evan Neal, who is not only recovering from ankle surgery, but he's also trying to get back to looking like a competent starting lineman, which was not the case in 2023.

Part of the thought process with Jones remaining the starting quarterback for the 2024 season could hinge on the Giants offensive line improving. On paper, they should be improved. Hopefully, they aren’t surrendering anywhere near the number of sacks like they did a year ago.
