4 veteran QBs the NY Giants should pursue over Jacoby Brissett

If Joe Schoen wants to find someone to push Danny Dimes, there will be strong options available in free agency.

3. Gardner Minshew

Another QB who has plenty of experience as a starter is Gardner Minshew, who was with the Colts in 2023 and had a pretty solid season. While one can argue whether or not he deserved to be a Pro Bowl alternate, he certainly proved that he can still be an effective QB. This may hurt the Giants' chances of signing him, as Minshew will likely want to start again, but New York could benefit from a little QB competition.

Minshew completed 62.2 percent of his passes for 3,305 yards, 15 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 13 starts last season. Considering that he took a rebuilding Colts team and almost led them to a playoff berth, it's pretty clear that he was a positive for Indianapolis.

He will likely cost more than Dobbs, but that's simply because Minshew is a better QB. He has consistently looked like an average to above-average player in this league and the Giants could really benefit by having Minshew as a backup. He could push Danny Dimes too.
