4 veteran QBs the NY Giants should pursue over Jacoby Brissett
1. Tyrod Taylor
It's not creative, but Taylor has been the Giants' backup for two seasons, and when called into action, he performed pretty well. At the very least, he looked better than Jones and could very easily be a starter for the Giants while they figure out their current QB situation. Regardless, Taylor will be a serviceable option for New York whether he starts or not.
In the five games Taylor started for the Giants, he completed 64.4 percent of his passes for 1,341 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions. The way Taylor slings the ball down the field is something New York hasn't seen since Eli Manning and he brings a real kind of dynamism to the team that Jones simply doesn't.
He isn't perfect, but Taylor made some incredible plays for the Giants last season. Depending on the Jones situation, there's a real chance that Taylor receives significant playing time, if this is the case, we trust him to lead the way. It will come down to how much he wants in free agency, though.
