We're guessing you're pretty fired up to see the NY Giants playmakers back in East Rutherford for the start of the voluntary offseason program. Week 1 may not arrive until mid-September, but that doesn't mean the prep for the 2024 campaign can't start now.
Brian Daboll always brings passion and intensity when it comes to anything involving the game. In his first speech to the team this offseason, Daboll spoke about getting off to a fast start. He also spoke about what it means to be a pro and about the physical performance he needed on the field from his guys. Yup, this clip below will surely have you even more fired up for the NFL Draft to arrive, but for camp to sneak up on us too:
Brian Daboll and the Giants are ready to try and bounce back in 2024
Itβs a big year for Daboll and the Giants. In his first year as the head coach of the G-Men, he was named Coach of the Year. In 2022, NY went 9-7-1 and made the postseason for the first time since 2016. It was a memorable campaign for Daboll and the G-Men as a whole.
Last year, though, everything came crashing down. The Giants were a disaster, as they finished the season at 6-11 and they now hold the No. 6 pick leading up to the '24 NFL Draft. As you all know, the offense looked sluggish and Daniel Jones went down in Week 9 with a torn ACL. Not only that, but there was plenty of off-field drama, highlighted by Daboll's beef with former DC Wink Martindale.
Moving forward, though, this team has a fresh start and Daboll is excited to have some new playmakers grinding already in East Rutherford. New York has the tools to be competitive this fall and winter. It'll be on Daboll to make sure he brings out the best in his players, but fans are quite confident he'll be able to get that job done.
