Talk about living rent free in your head, young man. It's Super Bowl week, which means there are bound to be some eye-opening interviews leading up to the big game on Sunday between the Chiefs and 49ers. Apparently former NY Giants wideout Kadarius Toney has something else on his mind.
Recently, Toney made headlines after it looked like he had bashed the Chiefs on his social media. He said he wasn't injured and that he was healthy. However, Toney has back-tracked those talks, saying that he was actually referring to the Giants and he was trying to call out the NY fan base. Is this guy serious?
Kadarius Toney calling out the Giants is another sad look for him
This madness started when Toney was ruled out for the AFC Championship Game, with the team saying he was inactive due to an injury and for a personal reason. Toney has been dealing with a bum hip, while the personal reason turned out to be the birth of his first child.
However, people couldn't believe their eyes when watching/listening to him blast his team not long ago. Now, though, Toney is coming up with every excuse in the book to try and save face and make sure he's on Andy Reid's good side leading up to the upcoming showdown with San Francisco.
This isn't the first time Toney has blasted the Giants and Giants Nation. After he was traded last campaign, he took every shot possible at his former employer and things haven't slowed down one bit. The more he speaks, the more it proves Joe Schoen was right to move on from him.
Toney helped the Chiefs win the Super Bowl last season with his record-breaking punt return. Come this weekend in Sin City, he has the chance to help the team capture another title. However, the fact that he has Giants fans on his mind tells you everything you need to know about his focus. Come on, man.
