2. CB Taron Johnson

The Giants are likely letting Adoree’ Jackson leave in free agency and they can always use extra depth at cornerback. While Deonte Banks had a strong rookie season and will be a starting corner again for 2024, the other corner spot playing opposite Banks could be up for grabs and that’s where making a play for Taron Johnson comes in.

Johnson is set to be a $12.4 million cap hit for Buffalo, which could play into the Bills' decision making, as he’s in the final year of a three-year, $24 million contract. This could be a tough decision for the Bills to make if they need to make drastic cuts, or in this case, possible trades.

The 27-year-old corner finished with 98 total tackles, one sack, eight pass deflections and three forced fumbles for Buffalo in 2023. If the Giants still think Tre Hawkins needs more time to improve, a trade for Johnson might help with that, as well as bolster the secondary. He'll certainly be a player to watch this offseason.
