Xavier McKinney wasted absolutely no time showing Giants fans what they're missing

A lone tear streamed down my face watching this.

In case you were worried that the Philadelphia Eagles may not throw as many interceptions to Xavier McKinney now that he no longer plays in the NFC East , you can take a nice, cleansing deep breath: he's still got it.

The more things change the more they've stayed the same.

It took exactly one pass to remind everyone that, McKinney has always owned the Eagles and will continue to own the Eagles until the end of time. This isn't an exageration, either: it was literally on Jalen Hurts' first pass of the game.

Here is simply tonight's reminder, in all its glory:

At the very least, Xavier McKinney continues to own the Eagles

If Giants fans have to watch McKinney continue playing at an All-Pro level for another team, the very least he can do is continue wrecking NFC East teams in the meantime — specifically, the Eagles.

Everyone knows that the only thing better than your favorite team winning is your least favorite team losing, so it's nice to see McKinney show Giants fans some love here by doing his job.

And maybe the best news of all is that the Packers and Giants don't play each other this season. So it's not like McKinney's going to come back to New York and do the same thing for Daniel Jones, who surely wouldn't even throw an interception in the first place. This is simply about McKinney understanding that the NFL's a business, but sometimes rivalries supercede that. At least, I assume that's what he was thinking about while trying to make a play on the ball in the middle of a game.

So shoutout to Xavier McKinney. The Giants will deal with his absence at some point this season – "immediately" on Sunday is my guess – but for tonight, it's the Eagles' problem. That's what really matters.
