NY Giants fans do not have much to root for this season, as the two-win team who has already punted on 2024 will try to salvage any morsels of positivity with Tommy DeVito at quarterback. Unfortunately, it seems like fans can't even be treated to that, as DeVito was roughed up.
DeVito was knocked out of the Giants' tussle with the Baltimore Ravens with what was later deemed a concussion. Any hope that he could come back in and prevent the Giants from seeing Tim Boyle on the field in a real game was quickly ruined.
Boyle and emergency third-string quarterback Drew Lock were throwing on the sidelines after DeVito went to the locker room, as he did not return for the second half. There's a good chance DeVito's day may be done, which will give the Ravens a chance to lock up an easy victory.

DeVito had completed 10-13 passes for 68 yards against a weak Ravens secondary before he left the game. While not lighting the world on fire, he moved the ball once or twice. That's about all fans can hope for at this point in what has been a cursed season.
Fans may recognize Boyle as one of the most baffling cases of NFL nepotism ever. At UConn, Boyle threw 1 touchdown against 13 interceptions, and also tossed more picks than TDs in his lone season at Eastern Kentucky. Somehow, he made it to the NFL with the Packers.
In the NFL, Boyle has thrown just four touchdown passes against 12 interceptions and never won a start. Boyle has somehow managed to parlay his...talents into jobs with seven different NFL teams, including the Packers, Lions, Jets, and (most recently) Dolphins. Now he's back in New York for round 2.
At least if DeVito was starting the Giants have some sort of pulse. Boyle is the ultimate victory cigar for the opposing team, which could make things even more bleak for a team that
