Are the New York Giants really succumbing their fans to the same torturous song and dance that has set the franchise back? You bet your bottom dollar they are.
To Big Blue Nation's dismay, the Giants have become notoriously known for winning games they're better off losing. They lived up to the reputation in their 34-10 "Toilet Bowl" win over the Las Vegas Raiders to a tee -- and to a fault.
In a battle between two 2-13 clubs on synchronous nine-game losing streaks, it was the Giants that prevailed. However, the Raiders were the real victors from this high-stakes "Toilet Bowl," considering they now stand alone atop the updated 2026 NFL Draft order.

Are you serious? The Giants just needed to continue doing what they've done for over two months: lose. Instead, we saw them put up arguably their most well-rounded performance in a blowout victory that may have a massive long-term ripple effect.
The Giants eclipsed 30 points for the first time since Week 7. They also limited the Raiders to their lowest opposing single-game scoring output of the season. Heck, even New York's well-chronicled kicking problems weren't an issue, with rookie kicker Ben Sauls going a combined 6-for-6 on field goals and extra points!
It's like the Giants don't start trying until they're completely out of the playoff picture, which has been a recurring theme in recent seasons. Granted, both teams ostensibly wanted to lose, notably (and conveniently) ruling out several key players ahead of their interconference clash. Yet, New York cannot seem to stay out of its own way.
Consequently, the Raiders suddenly find themselves in pole position for this year's No. 1 overall pick. Dropping their regular-season finale against the Kansas City Chiefs seals the deal, making the Giants' rooting interests crystal clear.
