The Giants' 2026 schedule could help them return to the playoffs in year one of the Harbaugh era.

The New York Giants may have caught a real break with this schedule, so let’s talk about the Giants' matchups and predict how many games they will win in 2026!

The Giants don’t have an international game this year. We expected them to play the Lions in Germany, but that game was given to the Patriots. Instead, the Giants will open with two primetime games back-to-back. I think they’ll go 1-1: beating the Cowboys on Sunday Night in Week 1, but losing to the Rams on Monday Night in Week 2 in Los Angeles. In my opinion, the Rams are one of the NFL’s best teams to start the season.

The Giants have four primetime games, including Weeks 1 & 2. The other is on Thursday Night Football in Week 10, at home against the Commanders, and on Monday Night Football in Week 16, on the road against the Lions. I could see Big Blue winning both of these games.

After those opening primetime games, the Giants host the Titans, facing familiar faces in Brian Daboll, Wan’Dale Robinson, and Cor’Dale Flott, followed by a matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. I believe both are winnable home games, so I predict the Giants win each, starting the season 3-1 through the first four games.

I could also see the Giants beating the Saints at home, but road matchups to the Commanders on Week 5 and Texans on Week 7 will be tough, as both pose as tough opponents, and the Giants tend to struggle against their NFC East rivals on the road, which should put them at 4-3 heading into their bye week on Week 8.

In the next four games, I could see the Giants going 2-2: losing to the Eagles on the road, beating the Commanders on Thursday Night Football, losing to the Jaguars, who were a playoff team last year and could be sneaky good next season, and beating the Colts on the road, which would take their record to 6-5 through 12 weeks.

This is where the Giants’ schedule gets more difficult. They face the 49ers and Seahawks in back-to-back games in Weeks 13 and 14, and I could see them losing both. That would drop their record to 6-7. However, I think they’ll bounce back with wins against the Browns in Week 15 and a gritty primetime road win over the Lions in Week 16. This would put them at 8-7, moving them back over .500.

To finish the season, I think the Giants will lose to the Cowboys in Dallas in Week 17. Jerry’s World is always a tough place to play, and the G-Men struggle against division rivals on the road. However, they will end the season on a high note by beating the Eagles at home in Week 18, giving fans a little taste of what happened last year.

I believe the Giants finish 9-8 in year one of the John Harbaugh era and could make the playoffs as a Wild Card team in 2026.

This schedule is more favorable than last year’s, which will work to the Giants' advantage. A better schedule, an improved coaching staff, and a fully healthy, talented roster will help the team return to a winning season for the first time since 2022.
