Just thought I would drop you a note to let you know that Giants RB Danny Ware has joined the blogosphere at Danny Ware 28.com.Today he blogged about the Giants drafting another RB in the fourth round. I named Ware as one of my breakout candidates for the 2009 season and I’m excited to keep tabs on his new blog.

Round One: Hakeem Nicks (WR) UNC

Nicks was an excellent selection at this point. With trade talks falling through with the Browns the Giants followed their board and picked arguably the most Pro ready receiver in the draft. Nicks is an exceptional player and plays a game similar to that of Anquan Boldin. He has huge hands and can make that flashy catch. One of his best traits is his ability with the ball after the catch; he [...]

Take this with a grain of salt but I’m hearing a deal is in place to send Braylon over for a 2nd, 4th or 5th and possibly a conditional pick next year. This would be an absolute STEAL. Gaining a player of Edwards caliber and still having our 1st, 2nd, and two 3rds. Right now it’s pending on the Giants and Braylon’s agent working out a contract. Stay tuned, I will update the post when I hear something new.
Update:
Sorry for the delay guys busy morning…
I was told we are pretty much at the same point as we were yesterday. Something [...]
NFL releases 2009 schedule
The Giants have a total of five prime times games, including one on Thanksgiving against the Cutlerless Broncos. They also start and end the regular season with the same opponents as 2008. Starting the season at Giants Stadium against the Redskins, and ending the season against the Panthers and then at Minnesota.
Their bye is during week ten (almost midseason) which is ideal. New York finishes the season with a very tough five game stretch against the Cowboys, Eagles, Redskins, Panthers, and Vikings. It’s imperative the Giants come out of the first half of the season with a record of 6-3 [...]
Per Pro Football Talk The league officially has announced the names of the nine players who’ll be in New York for the draft on April 25.
Michael Crabtree
Aaron Curry
Brian Cushing
Josh Freeman
Eugene Monroe
Michael Oher
Brian Orakpo
Jason Smith
Matthew Stafford
Maybe one of them will be holding up a Giants jersey after a trade up?
Who will be the new WR in blue?
With all the drama swirling around our wide receiver situation I decided to voice my input.
Let me start with this. Losing Plax hurts. No matter how you look at it, he was a big part of our offense. He was our game breaker that teams had to pay special attention too. Burress also possessed tremendous size which is going to be difficult to replace.
The have been rumors swirling that the Giants agreed to send their first and fifth round picks to the Browns in exchange for Braylon Edwards. (reported on 950 ESPN and SNY). Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star Ledger as squashed this rumors stating that none of “his people” have said Edwards is or will be a Giant. Now this doesn’t mean something cant go down, but for now Edwards is still a Brown. Stay Tuned….
