Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers) Round 7 ADP

Newton is too awesome to fall this far. The guy has finished as a top-four fantasy quarterback in each of his three NFL seasons, yet suddenly is almost sliding into the eighth round of fantasy drafts?

That’s unacceptable. Losing an aging and regressing Steve Smith and a “never was good anyways” Brandon LaFell cannot mean that much to his fantasy value. The guy is still one of the game’s top dual threat options and still has red zone security blanket Greg Olsen. Carolina also drafted a massive target in Kelvin Benjamin and added sure-handed role playing receivers like Jason Avant and Jerricho Cotchery.

His situation is being overblown following offseason ankle surgery. Newton is going to threaten for a top-five spot again and everyone who watched him slip deep into round seven is going to regret it.
