New York Giants: A Thank You for Antrel Rolle

Yesterday, New York Giants fans were informed that Antrel Rolle would be signing with the Chicago Bears. The longtime Giant left a heartwarming message for all his fans in the Giants organization, once again proving he’s a class act.

Giants fans all over the nation are very sad to see him go. On a positive note, we should remember the great memories he made for us.

Rolle signed with the Giants back in 2010. The Giants gave him a 5 year, $37 million dollar deal. The rest is history from that day. Rolle came to the Giants organization looking to solidify himself as one of the best safeties in the NFL.

He was one of the hardest workers on the Giants defense and quickly earned the respect of his teammates. He was made one of the captains of the team for his leadership ability.

Every Giant fan knows that Rolle isn’t afraid to say what’s on his mind. Back in 2011, Rolle was a huge part of the Giants’ Super Bowl run. He played at one of the highest levels of his career that year. He helped instill confidence in the team along the whole way.

In 2013, Rolle defied father time and was ranked one of the leagues best safeties at the age of 31. He made the Pro Bowl that same year.

Rolle was not only a leader in the locker room, but a role model to all of his fans. In 2012, I attended the Giants training camp. Rolle was on the sideline watching the offense play.

All of a sudden a young fan goes up to the gate and says, “Hey Antrel!” While most players would just ignore the screams of the crowd, Rolle turned around and gave a warm smile and said, “What’s up kid” right in the middle of practice. That describes what kind of a man that Rolle is; it was a meaningful moment to me.

Thank you from all of us at GMENHQ for your hard work with the Giants!
