Eli Manning Wins, Has Historic Achievement

The New York Giants dismantled the Buffalo Bills’ top ranked defense with a 24-10 win. Eli Manning looked stellar tearing apart the poor Bills’ secondary and avoiding the fearsome Bills’ pass rush. Manning took a page out of Aaron Rodgers playbook and used short passes to drive his offense down the field. His offense line held up just long enough to let Manning do his job.

Manning is often highly criticized for forcing the ball into bad coverages and taking to many risks, but that notion should clearly be left in the pass. Manning threw three touchdowns for 212 yards and one interception.

Manning also passed Joe Montana on the all time passing yards list this game and is now has the 13th most passing yards in NFL history. This is a huge accomplishment for this highly underrated quarterback. Montana is arguably the greatest quarterback of all time and breaking his record is another huge accomplishment Manning can add to his resume.

The Giants are looking pretty smart right now not letting Manning play out his contract because he is definitely taking a turn for the better. Manning maybe has looked the most efficient he ever has in his entire career.

Many felt that Manning’s mistakes in the first two weeks of the season left the organization with buyers’ remorse, but clearly the Giants organization is the party that came out of top. If Manning keeps this up and the Giants never signed him, he would have asked for a much more considerable amount.

Manning is a big reason why this Giants team will be able to continue to pull out wins with a very easy upcoming schedule. The NFC East is up for the taking and it’s fair to say the Giants are the frontrunners to take the crown.

Along with breaking Montana’s record, Manning tied Phil Simms all time wins as a Giant including the playoffs. Manning is going to try to break that record next week against the San Francisco 49ers.
