For the most part, the Giants’ offense was humming the rest of practice, especially in the 7-on-7 drills.  Eli was especially sharp, and even Ryan Nassib had his share of “ups” to accompany the downs.  Early camp reports claimed the Giants offense was struggling, but they must have done a lot of studying in their off day yesterday because they seemed to be firing on all cylinders today.  Hopefully this progression will continue. If so, I think this team could put up some big numbers offensively this season.

Overall, I absolutely loved the new look Giants’ offense.  McAdoo’s route combinations were great and the up tempo, no huddle was exciting to watch.  Defensively, the secondary looks very promising this year, and playing against this up tempo offense should make them more prepared when they play against it in the regular season — unlike in years past when they seemed a step behind in these games.

I came away very impressed with this Giants team, even though admittedly it is early in camp.  They seemed hungrier, faster, and more intense than they did when I saw them around the same time in camp last year.  Despite a mostly dreadful season last year, there is a lot to be optimistic about this season, Giants Nation.
