Training camp might be over, but the Giants still have three preseason games remaining. The first of which — Indianapolis on Saturday night — rookie Odell Beckham Jr. will once again not be active (hamstring).
Despite Beckham steadily increasing his workload in four consecutive practices this week, head coach Tom Coughlin still doesn’t feel the repetition is where it needs to be:
"“We have had him for individuals and we have had him for a few plays,” Coughlin said. “When the few plays are run, he looks to be doing fine, but like everybody, they need more repetition, more time on the field. They need to be in that fatigued state to see how they perform then. We need all of those things to take place.”"
Beckham might not be fully fit for a week 3 return, but he’s not far off. Barring a setback, week 4 versus the Jets is the target gridiron unveiling.

Hallelujah. The Giants desperately need a ‘defense threatening’ playmaker, and a full-flight Odell Beckham Jr. can be that guy. While he’s not a true vertical threat per say, there’s no route he can’t run, and with the ball in his hands… Beckham is a threat to bust open a game.
