8. How Many Wide Receivers Get Drafted In the 1st Round?

I have only four receivers with first round grades, though there are a handful of receivers that are getting first round buzz. The receivers I have with a first round grade are: Kevin White, Amari Cooper, Devante Parker and Jaelen Strong.

This doesn’t mean however that there will not be other receivers taken in the first round. Devin Smith and Sammie Coates have a lot of hype around them. They can take the top off any defense, but they have to prove they are more than just deep threats in the NFL.

There is no question that Dorial Green-Beckham has 1st round talent. The questions about him revolve around his year off from football, which was punishment for his off the field behavior. Breshad Perriman, from UCF has the talent but certainly does not have the polish you expect from a first round pick.

If I had to bet money on it, I would say that five receivers will be taken in the first round of the NFL Draft. That being said, don’t be shocked if a few of the receivers I gave a 2nd round grade gets taken in the first round because of big play potential.
