5. Miami LB, Denzel Perryman

This could be a guy we look back on in 2-3 years and shake our heads about how far he fell. Miami has had a strong history of producing great linebackers whether it was Jessie Armstead, Ray Lewis, Jonathan Vilma or current Giant Jon Beason.

Will Perryman live up to the hype of that group? He possibly could. He has been known to just bring a certain toughness and grit you want from the linebacker position. His coverage skills are mediocre, but his ability to hit and stop the run are a plus in his game.

Perryman could be the next man in line to be Big Blue’s defensive signal caller if taken. I certainly lobby for this pick if he happens to be at the Giants spot in the 2nd-round.
