1. Where He Fits On The Offensive Line

Flowers will be a right tackle to begin his career. This isn’t a knock on him but he isn’t ready to protect Manning’s blind side. Flowers has the physical ability to be a dominant pass protector but he isn’t there yet. Flowers will right away be the Giants best run blocker, but the pass protection will be a work in progress.

Remember Flowers wasn’t a perfect pass protector at Miami. He was a guy who had the prototypical strength and length to give pass rushers trouble, but he was inconsistent in his pass protecting skills. Flowers is a starter right away but it is without a doubt on the left hand side.

Will Beatty figures to be the starting left tackle. He is the place holder for Flowers who will grow into the left tackle position. It isn’t unforeseeable that Justin Pugh would start at left tackle, and if Beatty gets hurt that’s what would happen. Pugh and Geoff Schwartz will be your starting guards.
