1. Lawrence Taylor
Surprise! I know, you’re probably stunned that “LT” is number one on this list I mean he was only one of the more dominating players in the history of the game. He changed the way teams prepared and even brought a stronger necessity to the left tackle position.
We all know he’s a disaster off the field, but on the field he was a wizard. He was selected to both the Pro Bowl and All-Pro team 10-times, not to mention an MVP award to boot. Numbers and awards don’t do him justice.
Taylor unquestionably is the greatest player in team history because of his impact. You didn’t need numbers to explain how he’d beat double teams, how he struck fear in opponents, and his pure ability. He didn’t need to study or go to meetings, he was simply that good and he knew it. I don’t have to explain to you guys, I think you see where I’m coming from on this one.
