10. There Is Reason For Hope

Believe it or not, the Giants gave us a few things to cling on to when thinking about this season and the future. The Giants accomplished an awful lot offensively without a great offensive line. The Giants have a great offensive coordinator in Ben McAdoo who is an up and coming star in the coaching ranks. The Giants have young players who can develop and help rebuild this team.

I’m not here to sugar coat this. I am not going to force a happy ending to this slideshow. The Giants have put themselves in a bleak situation but there is absolutely reason for hope in Giants Nation. The Giants offense will get on track, they have too much talent not to. The Giants will put up some big numbers on the defensive side of the football.

The Giants defense is improved a bit from last season. If it can just be an average defense the offense can carry this team. The Giants offense will put over 20 points on the board in almost every game. The Giants did this in 11 games this past season. The defense just needs to do a decent job, get a few key stops and a turnover here and there. The offense shouldn’t have to be perfect on every drive to win a game.

But the real reason for hope is the youth of this team. It is the young players who are still developing and becoming better in each game. It is the rookies that will make an impact on the team. The Giants went from an ageing Super Bowl winner to a young team that is still learning how to win. Once they figure it out this team could be scary good.
