Anthony Velaro, Staff Writer Says:

Football is back and for all of us it feels like Christmas in September. As we get set for Week One of the NFL regular season, the New York Giants find themselves in a rather uneasy spot entering the 2015 season.

After being bitten by the injury bug once again this preseason, the Giants face an uphill battle to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2011. That battle starts Sunday night in a prime time matchup against their arch rivals, the Dallas Cowboys.

Big Blue would certainly love to send a message to the defending NFC East champions that their reign will be a short one. The Cowboys on the other hand are relishing another opportunity to stick it to their hated rivals once again. This makes for a highly physical and emotionally charged game that has come to define the Cowboys and Giants rivalry.

Expect many fireworks and I’m not talking about the pre game ceremonies. Both teams will come out firing and will put up a lot of points with both defenses being hampered by key injuries.

Expect the usual suspects like Odell Beckham Jr and Dez Bryant to steal the show but I believe the Giants’ unsung heroes will surprise many. Reuben Randle and Damontre Moore have huge opportunities to make a game changing impact and I believe they will be the deciding factor in a 28-24 upset road win for the New York Football Giants on Sunday Night Football.
