The 2016 NFL Draft is on the horizon and it could be the most important three days of Jerry Reese’s career. The New York Giants General Manager has come under fire for his “hit or miss” strategy. Reese’s history of mid-to-late rounds busts has grown worrisome. Some even thought drafting Ereck Flowers over Todd Gurley was one of the worst moves of last year. Fortunately, Reese has around $45M – $46 million in available salary cap space to acquire some game-changers and depth in free agency, but he can’t afford to slip up in the draft.

There doesn’t seem to be a clear cut consensus on who the Giants should select with their first round pick, the 10th overall. Some suggest former UCLA Bruins linebacker / running back Myles Jack is the way to go, but I strongly disagreed. Others believe the Giants can’t possibly pass up Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott, which I also questioned. We’ve already listed the top 40 NFL Draft prospects that could end up with the G-Men. Now, let’s narrow that down “must-have” players.
