Week 6: Sunday, October 16th, 1:00 PM vs. Baltimore Ravens (CBS)

Other than one win in 2008, the Giants have not played well against the Ravens. In 3 regular season games, Eli’s 1-2. He’s completed 31 passes on 69 attempts for 330 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.

More from GMEN HQ

1. December 23rd, 2012 – Week 15 @ BAL, L 14-33

14 completions on 28 attempts for 150 yards, 1 touchdowns, 0 interception (78.0 rating)

2. November 16th, 2008 – Week 10 vs. BAL, W 30-10

13 completions on 23 attempts for 153 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception (73.3 rating)

3. December 12th, 2004 – Week 13 @ BAL, L 14-37

4 completions on 18 attempts for 27 yards, 0 touchdowns, 2 interceptions (0.0 rating)

That 2008 win was thanks to the Giants rushing attack, which was best in the league. You can see how much the run game – and a solid defense – can swing a game’s outcome. Eli had almost identical numbers in 2012, if not slightly better, and Big Blue was on the wrong side of the blowout.

Fortunately, the G-Men will host the Ravens at MetLife this time around. The key will be to limit the big plays and get off the field on third down. If this meeting comes down to field goals, the Giants should prevail.
