The Arizona State product finished up his career with 96 successful field goal attempts out of 116. He hit 7 of 9 kicks from over 50 yards, which is impressive for a college kicker.

Gonzalez won first-team All-American and All Pac – 12 honors as a senior, which bodes well for the placekicker in the draft.

The Giants haven’t selected a kicker since 2001, when they picked John Markham out of Vanderbilt in the fifth round. That project didn’t bode too well, as the New York Giants decided to rely on free agency for the next 16 years when considering kickers.
