No. 4 – Donte Deayon

Donte Deayon is the second cornerback to make this list. He may be Haley’s biggest competition in making the 53-man roster.

The 5-foot-9, 158-pound nickel cornerback played in four games last season. Like Haley, he entered the league as an undrafted free agent.

Deayon had the best coverage snaps per target rate (8.5) among New York’s cornerbacks last season.

He is in the mix for the starting nickel corner position along with Gay and Haley. He has impressed New York’s coaching staff this spring and will look to continue to do so in training camp.

Lack of size and ability to play the run is the biggest concern for the 24-year-old cornerback. He finished last season on injured reserve with a fractured forearm.

The recent addition of Beal only narrows the number of roster spots in Big Blue’s secondary. At the same time, it should increase the level of competition at the cornerback position.
