NY Giants: 3 looming questions if the 2020 NFL season is cancelled
By Matt Clark
Conclusion
When examining the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the one word that could be used to best define them is uncertainty. There is uncertainty over the overall effects that it could have on the health and well-being of human race, uncertainty over the economic impacts that it will have, uncertainty over how long the pandemic will continue to impact the normal day-to-day activities of the society.
The COVID-19 pandemic has delivered its uncertainty to the NCAA and the National Football League and what the future holds for both. The two organizations would be wise to work together to answer some of the most pressing questions that cancelling their seasons would cause. Getting out in front of the situation would provide clarity and certainty for the NY Giants and the other teams of the National Football League in a time of unprecedented uncertainty.
By determining how they will handle these situations should they arise, teams will be able to determine their course of action both now and in the future as it pertains to the status of their franchises.
Unfortunately, the threat of cancellation of the 2020 NCAA and NFL seasons is becoming a greater reality with each passing day that the coronavirus continues to spread. Providing answers to the biggest questions that would face the league, its players, future players, owners, and fans would be prudent to do sooner rather than later.
The NY Giants and others would be wise to demand answers soon.
For what it’s worth, the franchise deserves credit for doing its part to help out the community.
