Possibly the most recognizable NY Giants fan of them all, ‘LPG Joe, is taking the news of no fans being allowed at Metlife Stadium in 2020 quite hard.

If you’re a NY Giants fan but you’re not familiar with ‘LPG Joe (License plate guy Joe), are you really a NY Giants fans at all?

A superfan that’s trademark is wearing a long necklace of NY Giants license plates, Joe Ruback, has not missed a single Big Blue game in over two decades. He’s good friends with many of the players – Golden Tate is his latest new pal –  and is as in tune with the NY Giants as any fan could ever hope to be.

According to TMZ Sports, License plate guy is devastated by the news that NY Giants fans will officially not be allowed to attend games in 2020 – even preseason games and training camp -unless future developments turn positive, even though he has big plans to try to make the best of the situation.

Via TMZ:

"Iconic NY Giants super fan “License Plate Guy” says he understands why his team is implementing a no fan rule this season due to COVID-19 … but he tells TMZ Sports he’s still “devastated.” “We can sit here and talk about how devastated I am, and then you get the people that are like, ‘Oh, you don’t care about people’s health then!'” the 51-year-old fanatic tells us.“But, no, we’re just talking football. Let’s just talk football, OK? I’m devastated, yo! I mean, I’m devastated!”"

How is LPG planning to make the best out of this NY Giants no fan situation?

Also according to TMZ, ‘LPG’ is not going to let not being able to physically attend the games – until further notice – slow him down from making the best out of a bad situation and still enjoying the best NY Giants fan experience he can.

Anyone who knows Joe Ruback knows the type of man he is and him coming out with this positive attitude and showing others ways they can still have fun watching NY Giants games away from the season demonstrates why he’s such an admirable leader for the NY Giants fan club.

Also from the same TMZ article, ‘LPG’ explains what he plans his NFL Sundays to look like in this new era. Most hardcore fans have Sunday rituals, and to say ‘LPG’ has/had them would be an understatement,

It’s nice to see he’s taking a positive attitude and adapting.

"“If you think I’m going to sit here in my basement, you got another thing coming,” Ruback says.“I’m going to get a caterer, I’m going to get a DJ, I’m going to drink, eat and I’m going to watch on a big-ass screen wherever it is.”"

Sounds like a baller way to handle a terrible situation. Hey, Joe, if you’re reading this, don’t be shy in inviting the folks from GMENHQ to join in on the fun!
