1. Third Down Defense

One of the spots where the NY Giants defense struggled during their week one game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was on third down. The Steelers converted on 8/15 of their third-down opportunities during Monday Night Football, which had them converting at the fifth-highest rate in the NFL.

Offensively for the Chicago Bears, they were dead-last in terms of conversion percentage; converting on just 2/11 opportunities, good for 18.2%. The NY Giants have to make sure they tighten up on third-down to keep the Bears offense off the field when possible. The Bears have a lackadaisical offense but as we saw last week, they can turn it on when needed.
