Round 6, pick No. 196: Jack Anderson – OG, Texas Tech

It is difficult to envision Zach Fulton as the NY Giants’ future at right guard, Will Hernandez seemed to fall out of favor with this coaching staff last season, and Shane Lemieux looked more like a project as a rookie than a high-end starter, which makes the interior of the offensive line a remaining need.

Anderson, 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds, allowed just three sacks last season, and four in three seasons as a starter along the Red Raiders’ front. Pro Football Focus gives Anderson an 86.2 pass-protection grade, which could give him a chance to compete for a starting job at either guard spot, if his consistency translates to an NFL training camp this summer.
