Blake Martinez emerged as one of the NY Giants’ most dominant defenders last season, but New York could stand to significantly upgrade the caliber of player alongside him in the middle of Patrick Graham’s defense.

The Giants allowed Kyler Fackrell to walk via free agency, but have done little to date to replace him.

Adding a versatile playmaker such as Penn State Football’s Micah Parsons, if he’s available at No. 11 overall, after head coach Joe Judge and Graham scouted his pro day could significantly elevate the NY Giants’ defense and give Graham a player that he can deploy as a pass-rusher off the edge or up the middle.

Whether it’s Parsons or another linebacker, this is a sizable void the NY Giants must fill if the defense is going to build on the strides made last season.
