NY Giants 2022 RB option #4: Kennedy Brooks, Oklahoma

Speaking of Oklahoma, Kennedy Brooks returns to college football with hopes of reclaiming his spot atop the Big 12 RB totem pole after opting out of the 2020 season. Not only does he need to prove himself in the conference at large, but he also needs to reaffirm his status as the RB1 on his own team.

Eric Gray transferred from Tennessee and poses a threat in year three to steal touches and touchdown opportunities. Brooks’ first two seasons were superior, as Gray never cracked 800 yards and Brooks topped 1,000 both years. A full year away from the game could put Brooks behind the 8-ball, though.

Assuming he returns to form, his potential role in the NY Giants offense would be similar to Zamir White’s.
