Carter entered the 2020 season with high expectations, atop the NY Giants’ outside linebacker rotation, but his season came to an end when he ruptured his Achilles during a Week 5 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Through the first two-plus seasons of Carter‘s career, he’s produced 9.5 sacks and 103 total tackles, but has never eclipsed his career high 4.5 sacks in his second NFL season.

Expectations were high for Carter in 2020, following a strong training camp, and the NY Giants foregoing spending significantly in free agency or the NFL Draft on a pass-rusher. However, Carter suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon against the Dallas Cowboys, ending his season. Carter produced just one sack and 15 total tackles in five weeks.
