The verdict: Breakout

There are a lot of weapons, suddenly, in the NY Giants’ offense.

If the NY Giants average fewer than 18 points per game this season, something has gone dramatically wrong, and there’s a very real possibility that Jason Garrett isn’t calling plays by season’s end and Jones is playing elsewhere in 2022.

It would seem unlikely that winds up being the outcome here.

Rather, because Slayton is now just one cog in an offensive machine that includes running back Saquon Barkley, Golladay, Toney, Shepard, tight ends Evan Engram and Kyle Rudolph, the added space to operate should benefit him. Possibly tremendously.

Slayton might not touch 1,000 yards, but there’s a good chance he produces 850 or more in a 17-game campaign and depending on the explosiveness of the NY Giants’ offense overall, could make a strong run at 10-plus touchdowns.
