Ranking the NY Giants’ 5 best players on defense
1. James Bradberry
James Bradberry was worth every penny of the three-year $45 million contract he signed last offseason.
After a second straight season with three interceptions and a career-high 19 passes defended, Bradberry proved he was one of the best cornerbacks in football. His play led to him being named to the Pro-Bowl and making the 2nd team All-Pro.
Bradberry’s ability to hold opposing teams’ top receivers in check helped transform one of the worst pass defenses in 2019. The Giants’ pass defense went from 264.1 yards allowed per game to 237.9 yards per game.
If Bradberry can perform at the same level he played at last season, and the secondary continues to improve, the Giants’ defense could be one of the best in football.
