The NY Giants are done with the preseason. Who’s trending on this team, who’s trending to be cut before Tuesday?

The NY Giants had quite an interesting preseason.

New York lost all three games, they missed some noticeable key players, rookies and newcomers both missed extensive time, and Joe Judge has been left with continuing where he left off in his first year as an NFL Head Coach.

The Giants did not look great in a 22-20 loss to the Patriots on Sunday night. The starting offense took a while to get going, but they eventually found the end zone. The defense held its own against Cam Newton and Mac Jones, but there was some shoddy work to be had on the edges of the defense.

Final roster cuts are due by Tuesday. This is the end of the road for almost half the people left at all NFL training camps. 80-man rosters will very soon be 53-man rosters as teams take shape of their regular-season outlooks.

The NY Giants have seen many players step up to the occasion this summer while many others have struggled to make a positive impression to make the team. There was a lot of daily evaluation at Quest Diagnostics as the Giants closely follow and analyze their football culture and how their program is developing.

Here’s a look at the NY Giants roster stock watch, ahead of final cuts:

Dexter Lawrence is Going to Break Out in Year 3

Dexter Lawrence will be the NY Giants’ second top option on their defensive line. Lawrence has flashed all summer, showing improved hand combat, athleticism, and understanding of the NFL game. It appears as if the game has really slowed down for Dex and allowed him to shine.

Lawrence was a disruptive force in his only preseason action this season. Lawrence generated a sack, a QB hit, one tackle for a loss, in just one half of football is a good day’s work. For Dexter, it’s about staying healthy and repeating these numbers when they matter.
