We got the insight on Billy Price from a Bengals expert.
The NY Giants dramatically revamped their offensive line last week. They cut over five existing players in camp and traded for two new linemen while adding another to the practice squad.
Today, we are focusing on the Giants‘ new offensive lineman from Cincinnati that is Billy Price. Price is a 3rd-year player who was a 2018 1st round pick from Ohio State. Price did not pan out in Cincinnati and the Giants shipped B.J. Hill to the Bengals to make this move happen.
We reached out to Leigh Oleszczak of The Stripe Hype. Leigh took the time and answered our questions to get more information on Price and what he may bring to New York. Big shoutout to Leigh for the awesome insight, follow her on Twitter here!
Here’s a look at Billy Price and his fit in with the NY Giants
GMEN HQ: Question #1: What went wrong for Price in Cincinnati? Was it coaching? Scheme? Injuries? Talent?
Stripe Hype:
Honestly, injuries played a big role in Price’s demise in Cincinnati. He tore his pectoral muscle at the combine, broke his foot early in his rookie season, played through plantar fasciitis, and had back issues.
GMEN HQ:
Billy Price suffered numerous injuries in Cincinnati that set his game back. He only started 19 games in three years while including just 9 his last two seasons. Price saw time in 42 games but starting 19 of them won’t cut it. He needs to stay healthy in New York which could make a difference in his ability and confidence level.
