There are a wide array of opinions on the 2021 NY Giants, but sometimes it is best to stick to the facts.

A group of anonymous NFL executives ranked the NY Giants among the NFC’s two worst teams.

WynnBets predicts the Giants will finish third in the NFC East. Most members of the national media and NFL fans across the country think New York will be bad once again.

Opinions are more mixed among NY Giants fans.

There is still a large contingent of the fanbase that remains pessimistic about the team’s chances, but many of the NY Giants faithful have high hopes heading into the season. A great number believe that this will be the year when the New York Giants finally turn the corner and earn their first playoff birth since 2016.

This split has created two factions within the fanbase. Pessimistic NY Giants fans argue with optimistic NY Giants fans about the team’s direction and chances constantly on Twitter.

Optimistic fans are accused of being delusional and wearing Big Blue beer goggles when assessing Dave Gettleman and the players he has on the roster. Pessimistic fans are accused of being unloyal Debbie Downers that love to see their team fail so they could say, “I told you so.”

The division and infighting in the NY Giants fanbase are at a fever pitch as the season approaches. Who is right and who is wrong about the 2021 New York Giants?

“We’ll see” is the only acceptable answer.

Anyone who backs up their NY Giants’ opinions with statistics is often accused of “cherry-picking” stats that support their argument.

The thing is, we all do this when we make an argument about something. Anyone who gives their opinion on football for a living (or for fun) does this on a routine basis.

So for this article, I will forgo giving my opinion.
