NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has a chance to be cleared from the concussion protocol in time for Sunday’s game vs. Rams, updates on Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay, more

So, you’re saying there’s a chance …

After looking wobbly on the field following a massive hit while diving year the goal line in the first half of Sunday’s NY Giants loss to the Dallas Cowboys, it’s entirely possible Daniel Jones recovers and is cleared from the concussion protocol ahead of this week’s matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Jones is “on track with everything,” NY Giants head coach Joe Judge told reporters prior to Wednesday morning’s practice, but Jones wouldn’t take the field for practice on Wednesday.

Prior to Sunday’s in injury, Jones had been playing some of the best football of his career, passing for 500 yards with two touchdowns to one interception in his last five-plus quarters against the New Orleans Saints and Cowboys.

If Jones isn’t cleared in time for Sunday’s game, Mike Glennon would likely make his first start of the season.

Meanwhile, the NY Giants are also dealing with injuries to several of their most important offensive weapons, in addition to Jones.

Running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) nor wide receiver Kenny Golladay (knee) will practice on Wednesday, while the expectation is rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney will be limited (ankle). All three players were injured on Sunday afternoon.

The NY Giants host the Rams at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.
