NY Giants schedule: How many winnable games remain in 2021?
By John Makuch
Week 16: at Philadelphia Eagles
At this point in the season, the fate of both these teams will be decided.
This probably will end up with these teams being eliminated from the postseason, and now the fight for draft position begins.
Fans will call for Jalen Hurts’ job but who will replace him under center for the Eagles? The franchise just has to trust him and put pieces around the Alabama and Oklahoma product.
This is a game that gives us a glimpse into the future of what this matchup holds. Late-season matchups like this are for pride among the franchise, and this will be no different.
The NY Giants have been known to struggle at Lincoln Financial Field, but this one could be different.
Despite the likelihood that this game means nothing for playoff implications, it will mean the world for the young guys who will get the chance to play.
Throughout the rest of the season and especially late in the year, Kadarius Toney will be adjusted to playing in the NFL and we will see his potential in these late-season games.
His speed, route running, and ability to find the ball has impressed in his short bursts of action but also stars like Kenny Golladay will have to work on their fit in this squad.
If this team can stay healthy and put it together, they have the opportunity to compete in this division, but this season is not that type of season.
This game will indeed be winnable, but it should be a game that will not matter much in the end, but instead be a chance for these teammates to gain chemistry heading into 2022.
