It was a bad first half of the season, but there’s still hope for a playoff run for the NY Giants.

The NY Giants again are in a hole.

New York is 3-6 after nine games, their best start to a season in five years. It shows you how rough things have been in September and October for the franchise over the last few years.

Things have picked up in recent weeks, however. The Giants have looked better against the Panthers, the Chiefs, and the Raiders in Week 9.

The NY Giants could have beaten the Chiefs but as usual, they shot themselves in the foot and got in their own way of victory.

New York blew their big opportunity to begin the year off hot with a soft start to the schedule. Instead, they went 0-3 and lost to the three worst teams on their schedule so far.

The Giants have some very winnable games in the upcoming weeks. They won’t win ’em all, but they should have a legit shot to win in almost every game the rest of the way.

Take a look through here at the remaining schedule and what games will be the hardest for the NY Giants.

NY Giants’ No. 8 Most Winnable Game: Week 11 @ Tampa Bay

They always say the next game is the toughest one.

This will be the NY Giants’ toughest game on paper for the rest of the year.

Not only is it the next game, but it will be the Giants’ first game in 15 days. How will they respond to the bye week? Will there be a clear focus or further distractions and mistakes?

The NY Giants should feel better about themselves after the last few weeks. They have played better football against better competition and they’ve come out victorious twice in three weeks.

It will be a far more daunting task this week when the Giants travel to retired New Yorkers South,  better known as Tampa Bay. They will be playing the Super Bowl champions on the road and they are led by the greatest football player ever, Tom Brady.

The NY Giants and Brady of course go way back in their fierce rivalry with one another. There is always bad blood and heavy competition between any Brady-led offense and any NY Giants’ defense. As if it gets any tougher, the game will be a primetime contest on Monday Night with the entire country watching.

This is the NY Giants’ last night game of the year (unless they are flexed to primetime later in the season). It will be a tough task for the Giants to go into Raymond James, shock the Bucs for their 3rd loss in a row, and beat Tom Brady for the 4th time ever. It will be a must-watch, box office NFL game next Monday as it may be the last time we ever see Brady play the NY Giants. Brady is again the clear favorite and reigns supreme, but that hasn’t stopped the Giants before. We’ll see if lightning strikes in a bottle again.
