The NY Giants are welcoming back their #1 draft pick Sunday against the Eagles.

The NY Giants are set to see Kadarius Toney play today.

Toney is set to play his first game since the Giants‘ loss in Tampa Bay over a month ago. Toney has dealt with oblique injuries and Covid-19 over the last four weeks which has set back his debut NFL season significantly.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Toney is expected to suit up and play today. The NY Giants will gladly welcome him back especially as they lost another receiver last week with Sterling Shepard’s torn Achilles.

Toney will stretch the field and further apply pressure on the Eagles’ secondary. He will play his first game ever with his former SEC rival in Jake Fromm under center. It will be interesting to see how strong their chemistry is with limited reps between the two over what’s become a rollercoaster couple of weeks for New York with losses and injuries piling up.

Toney needs to finish out the 2021 year strong and it starts today with a good game against a division rival. Toney didn’t even touch the ball once in his first division game against the WFT back in Week 2 but he had the best game of his young career in Week 5 against the Cowboys. Nobody will expect Toney to go for 10 catches for 189 yards today, but a 4-5 catch game for 50+ yards would be a nice reminder of Toney’s versatility and overall skillset.

The NY Giants are looking to continue a rarely seen winning streak against the Eagles. They’ve won two in a row now dating back to 4 weeks ago and last season but both games were at home. New York hasn’t won in the City of Brotherly Love since 2013. Can Toney help break that curse today?
