With Mitch Trbuisky rumored to be viewed as the top free-agent quarterback, he may be out of the New York Giants price range.

The New York Giants have been linked to veteran quarterback Mitch Trubisky since the start of the offseason. While in the beginning, it seemed like he would be attainable on a cheaper deal, things have begun to heat up and he could be in line for a contract that is out of the Giants‘ price range.

Given that Daniel Jones will likely be QB1 come next season, paying Trubisky big money would be a pointless decision, especially if Jones is able to stay healthy for the entire season.

Even with the New York Giants making moves to free up money for free agency, choosing to throw it all at a quarterback doesn’t seem like the smartest decision.

Excluding Trubisky from the quarterback pool, there are still several other veteran options that the Giants could choose to target as their QB2. Whether it be former starters or career journeymen, the Giants will be looking for a quarterback that if needed, can handle QB1 duty. This year’s free-agent class offers a plethora of intriguing options that could fit that mold.

Here are three veteran quarterbacks the New York Giants could target in free agency.
