NY Giants 2022 Schedule: Game-by-game predictions and analysis
Week 14: NY Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles
There will be some extra drama for this Dec. 11 tilt, especially if the Eagles go out and sign cornerback James Bradberry. No one in East Rutherford wants to see this go down. On offense, Philadelphia got stronger thanks to the addition of standout wideout A.J. Brown. NY will keep this one tight, but look for Philly to leave New Jersey with a win.
Prediction: Eagles 27-Giants 21
Week 15: NY Giants at Washington Commanders
A trip to FedEx Field is on the schedule for Week 15. We discussed the health concerns for Gibson above, but Washington also now features quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz is no stranger to the Giants, as he played them multiple times while with the Eagles. Wentz has loads of people doubting him, but when he’s on, he’s really on. Will Wentz get the job done at home against New York?
Prediction: Commanders 30-Giants 23
Week 16: NY Giants at Minnesota on Christmas Eve
Another holiday contest for the Giants? That’s indeed the case come Christmas Eve, as Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson will be ready to put on a show vs. the New York defense. Minnesota hasn’t delivered in recent seasons, but they do feature a scary offense when firing on all cylinders. We think that will be the case on X-Mas Eve.
Prediction: Vikings 34-Giants 21
Week 17: NY Giants vs. Indianapolis Colts
In the final meeting at MetLife Stadium for the year, the new-look Colts will be in town. Matt Ryan will be donning and Indy jersey, which is weird to think about. It will also be a bit of a homecoming for south New Jersey product Jonathan Taylor. This will be another close game, but we like the Colts to land the final punch with a game-winning field goal late.
Prediction: Colts 24-Giants 21
Week 18: NY Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
To close the campaign out, the Giants will head over the Lincoln Financial Field for a showdown with Jalen Hurts and Co. This could be a game which decides whether or not the Eagles will make the playoffs, so they’ll be playing with some extra urgency. This will lead to Philly taking out any anger they have on the Giants in a lopsided win.
Prediction: Eagles 28-Giants 13
NY Giants final record prediction for 2022
After going 4-13 last year, plenty of fans were beyond angry with the Giants. Now, things are looking bright with general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll working together. While we don’t think the Giants will win the division or make the playoffs, expect them to take a step up from the four-win campaign in ’21. We predict the Giants to go 7-10 in 2022.
