With the NY Giants being a relatively young team, there are plenty of potential candidates to breakout and fulfill their potential. Last season we saw this happen with 2020 first-round pick Andrew Thomas. Who, after a lackluster rookie season, burst onto the scene and became a Pro-Bowl level talent.

Despite this, the NY Giants offense played very poorly last campaign. Whether it be due to a lack of healthy players, lack of personnel to begin with, or an incompetent coach staff, the offense was unacceptably bad.

Despite this, there is still plenty of young talent on the NY Giants offense with plenty of potential. If these players can breakout this season and reach said potential, the Giants could be in for a rather successful season on the offensive end.

3. Daniel Jones

After dealing with poor coaching staffs, horrific offensive lines and injuries to both himself as well as the core around him, it seems as if things are finally lining up for Daniel Jones to breakout this season and become the franchise QB people think he can be. To say that the NY Giants front office and ownership have done Jones wrong is an understatement, with co-owner John Mara even saying this:

"You tell me what Quarterback could have thrived over these last couple of years with what we had out there on offense?"

While yes, plenty of the blame for Jones’ lack of success can be blamed on the team around him, he still has plenty of things to work on if he wants to make the next leap. For starters, he MUST learn to not stare down his receivers from time to time. This emerged as a big issue last season after Jones threw three interceptions against the Rams, with two of them being due to the fact that Jones was caught staring down his receiver.

From a statistical standpoint, you can make the argument that Jones has regressed since his rookie season. However, it doesn’t take much to look at both the team around him and his coaching staff to understand why his numbers may be so underwhelming.

With a new coaching staff, offensive line and even some new weapons coming in, everything is setting up for Jones to succeed in his make-or-break season. If he can put it all together and showcase the potential we know he has, the NY Giants may have a new franchise QB on their hands.
