Entering the 2022-23 NFL season, the NY Giants have plenty of players on the roster they could potentially move on from in order to get better, or rebuild and gain assets. While it is likely the front office keeps the team as is for the most part, there is still a chance we see some moves.

As things currently stand, the NY Giants have gaps in some very key positions. For example, the linebacker, left guard, and corner spots are all looking pretty questionable. If the NY Giants are able to flip these players for additions to these positions, it would be huge for the team.

With that being said, here are three players the NY Giants should look into trading away this season:

3. EDGE Oshane Ximines

While at this rate, it is more likely that Oshane Ximines is released than traded, the NY Giants could find some value in return from him if he is able to perform well to start the season.

Entering Week 1, both Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari are listed as doubtful. If they both miss the game, it is likely that Ximines see’s a lot of snaps to start the season. If this is the case, and he performs well, we could potentially see teams become interested in the former third-round pick.

It won’t be much value in return, but it will be better than just releasing the 25 year old and receiving nothing.

Ximines has been quite disappointing thus far in his career with the NY Giants. After showing some promise in his rookie year, racking up 4.5 sacks, he has yet to put up a single sack in his last two seasons and has honestly done more harm than good for the NY Giants

With this in mind, it honestly may be better for both Ximines and the NY Giants to move on from one another. The NY Giants previous front office did a notably awful job at drafting in the later rounds. If new GM Joe Schoen is able to turn a now awful draft pick into any amount of value, it would be huge for the team.
