When entertaining the idea of a potential Kenny Golladay trade, it must be understood that both the front office and fans must be patient. Obviously Golladay was disappointing last season, but there is still a huge chance that he turns things around this season. So if a trade is to happen, it must wait until around the trade deadline.

With that being said, if Golladay has yet another down season, the NY Giants front office should not hesitate to look into trading the 28 year old. While it is unlikely the NY Giants yield much value in return for the former Pro-Bowler, it is better to shed Golladay’s huge contract off more than anything.

The NY Giants are in really good hands in terms of receivers with both Kadarius Toney and Wan’Dale Robinson seeming like future stars. Meaning the NY Giants really could do well without Golladay.

At the end of the day, Golladay has shown a huge lack of effort in training camp and the preseason, even putting up little production in the preseason games he played in. If the NY Giants truly want to maximize his value, they will look to trade him before the trade deadline depending on how he performs.

If Golladay is looking like he is back to his old form, then keep him. If not, however, then honestly just trade him for whatever you can and shed his massive contract off. The only difficult part is that teams may not want to take on his contract if he is still not performing well.
